Hitachi Carburator
Does anyone have a Hitachi Carburator on their Patrol? I just brought in a 1968 Right Hand Drive Patrol from Japan that has not run in a long time. The carb is totally messed up. I am going to replace it with a rochester to get the vehicle running but I would like to rebuild the original Hitachi and reinstall it. The Hitachi number is VC-42-4A. Anyone have a rebuild kit for this carb? How about a rebuild kit for the fuel pump? Thanks!

Steve, I have a Rochester 7015013 on my '69 and really like it. I did look up a Hatachi at my NAPA dealer, although he didn't have it in stock he said he could order it. If all else fails there are electric fuel pumps.
