P40 Engine Gasket Set Part Number?

Post by r1lark »

Patrolers, I've been looking at ordering some gaskets, but at the price of individual gaskets it seems like a better and cheaper option to just get a full engine gasket set. There doesn't seem to be many reasonably priced options for P-engine full gasket sets available in the USA, at least from what I've found. (If anyone knows of one, please post the info :) )

In searching the old posts, it seems like the P40 engine gasket set is a reasonable option. Esteban has posted several times that most of the P40 enngine gaskets, with the exception of the timing cover and water pump gaskets, are the same as the P-engine. However, I have not found the part number for this P40 engine gasket set in any of the old posts. Does anyone have this part number?

Thanks for the help!!
Paul

Get ya! one of these while they last. https://www.ebay.com/itm/265284622157

These are actually real P engine gaskets. The P40 gasket kits are similar but have a few different gaskets in the head set that won't work for the P engine.

Thanks desertrat!! Ordered two sets, one to pilfer misc gaskets out of, and one to save for a future (if needed) full overhaul.

FelPro has obsoleted this number FS84347. Mine said "Made in Spain" so I assume they are made by AJUSA.

I have a new lead on sets available domestically and I have made a connection with a company in Japan that can manufacture them as well. So when these dry up there will still be some available.
