Newly to me 77 ute
Newly to me 77 ute
Hi All , I recently bought into the g60 patrol club , with a nice 77 ute ,I was looking for a project and a friend had known of this ute for some time . Had been in a shed for 10 years as the farmer who owned it reckoned it had major electrical problems . Anyway I went up viewed it and then towed back to Perth . 2 hours of removing farmer added fuel tank , cleaning and fresh petrol , up she fired . Minimal rust however suspension has had it plus brakes need attention. Also came with snail Eaton factory manual. I’m the third owner , here are some pics .Please bear with me on the technology front !

Welcome to 60Patrol!
Congratulations on your new project. It's always inspirational when you can hear them running after just a bit of coaxing. Looks like a good solid base to start with. You've come to the right place for questions and searching the forum can be very helpful as well. Keep us posted on your progress.

Hi Farm
Your Patrol looks OK. They are pretty tough old things. Great you got it going - that adds so much more to the enjoyment.

G'day mate and welcome! Theres a few of us ozzies on here, i think mostly from the east coast though.
The ute looks like a great base for a project, and fairly complete which always makes it a little easier.
Keep us all posted on your progress.
Cheers

G'day mate, not a bad old looking bus, doesn't seem to be as many G60s in WA as some other states. How much did you get it for, looks to have minimal rust which is great.

Farm,
You guys have everything down there! You have fun with that one. Glad you rescued it.
My next Patrol will be in late August on the 0^ Ranch in W TX. We will be hunting several wild bulls that are too aggressive to capture and sell so we are going to try to shoot them....and eat them.
The red 65 Patrol will get quite a workout. Pictures of the historic 06 Ranch are here...https://o6ranch.com/
Patrolling again soon,

Marinate them a few days in some lime and orange juice, cumin, peppers, onions, salt and pepper. Slice thin and hit it hard on a good mesquite fire. Make sure the tortillas are warm and salsa and beer are cold. Keep the tequila flowing. No one will ever notice that your first gear has no synchro.L60Boerne wrote:Farm,

Plateaucal,
That is a good recipe for drivers who need a Patrol with training wheels. Real Patrols just don't synchronize with man nor machine...just my style!
