You can use the FJ40 hinge mount mirror, they're a bolt on fit. Even for the passenger side. https://www.sor.com/cat166.sor

That OEM mirror can't possibly be the real original right? It looks like it has a plastic backing that I can't imagine Nissan using backs in the 60's. Can you confirm that?
