Pics of Ignition switches, fuse blocks

What do the earlier fuse blocks look like? I love finding obscure stuff, so happy to add to the cause.

The harness I bought must have been very late 67 then, as it seemed to have this fuse block with three tabs on right side.

These are really pretty easy to modify for >’67 rigs.

Try this link for a picture. This one is from a 74 I think. Generally all look the same with minor variations.

RiverPatrol probably has something more on a year by year, or what I think will be 3 iterations.

A ‘74? Non US then?

It does look a lot like the Niles one I found, even has the crab logo. Just need to move/add tabs... I’ll get to work this weekend.

Ugh - my memory is not that good anymore. The main difference remember for the pre-'69 fuse block is the mounting screw for the cover is centered like the one you show, '69 and later the mount is off center. The cover is a little different too. Now there are also connection differences. Seeing Esteban's reminds me that there are not equal tabs on both sides, the input side has fewer tabs. The connections on back will vary a bit between years but I don't recall the differences. They should be able to be adapted, it's a matter of what needs to remain hot constantly.

Did you got the harness on eBay, the one for $79? I'm pretty sure we decided that was for a '69, much of what that guy sells is. In one of the pictures there is a cover for the fuse block, it is different than your cover.

The one I bought was $50, and was back in mid 2020. The fuse block it had(split in half) was exactly like the on on the black firewall pic. It was what I used to guess on the similar NILES fuse blocks. I can absolutely build a direct replica of what is shown in black firewall pic, and what was on my harness.

Where in Temecula? Wife and I have a place in Ramona where we will land when I am done with Navy time...

Sounds like you should be ok for your '67 then. I don't recall that particular harness.

that ignition switch on the left looks like the aftermarket one I purchased prior to finding an original. Two position key switch with pushbutton start from a 1967.

here is a pic of the back side of my 1967 ignition switch that scott sharpe was parting out



When I got it he only had a replacement key for it but I was able to find a couple originals that the profile was close enough to have reground to match, which is why i have what looks like brand new keys for it.


Here is the fuse box in my 1967, I have a 1963 and 1965 in the parts room but I am guessing they are similar.
