Hi
I put in the allen key bolts, i got the at a local hard ware store
there where phillips head bolts in...... can't recall why i changed them tho

We are used to phillips head screws and bolts , sins the "Phillips" is a Dutch brand

Interesting, I didn't know phillips was Dutch. I recently had to replace the door lock mechanism in one of the French doors in my house. It is German made I think, Hoppe brand. It was all Allen head screws and they must have been metric because my set of allen wrenches didn't fit snuggly.

There are interesting articles on the development of the torx fastener. Most fastener head development in the US appears to be in response to the industrial development of automobile assembly and the need to specific torque and other tolerances.
