Temp Sending unit/ Temperature Sensor

So I tested my temp sending unit and it appears to be faulty. When I checked the resistence at various temps ranging from room temp to boiling, I failed to get any ohlms.... Anyway, does anyone have any suggestions on where to obtain one. My Patrol is a 66. Thanks again! Mark

You can use one of these to replace it with a bit of modification. This sensor fits in perfectly but doesn't have a "nut" to lock it into place. I took my old sensor, cut the end off, drilled out the center and it slides perfectly over the new one.

Cool. this looks like it will work. However, last night, I found a forklift parts supplier who claims to have the stock sensors in stock. I ordered one. We will see if it indeed is the right one...

That sleeve nut is intended to be removable. They just usually get stuck on with corrosion. So the one you got looks exactly like stock.

WOW!!! I would have never gotten the sleeve off without drilling it out!! But good to know that I didn't throw away that piece!!
