Sliding Window Rubber

Really old stuff that got saved. Here are the old Nissan Patrol Club America messages from the 'General' category. Warning, it's dusty in here!

Sliding Window Rubber

I know many of you already know, but for those who don't, I had a die made to extrude new foam rubber molding for the sliding windows on a Patrol.  It sells for $5 a linear foot and you need about 15 feet to do both windows, shipping is $5.40.  I am thinking about having molding for the rear door windows made as well, if there is enough interest.

Sliding Window Rubber

I currently have enough for one truck remaining right now, when that is gone I will have to extrude another 100 ft (that is the minimun).  I haven't decided yet about making the back window rubber, I have had a lot of people ask me for it, so I am considering it very strongly.  I want to try ordering some moulding from a Land Cruiser place and see how close that is, it looked like it had the same sheet metal and glass overlap as the Patrol, I just need to see if it comes fixed or by the foot, if it is fixed it won't work.  I'll let you know.  E-mail me if you want to buy the sliding window rubber and I'll give you my address for mailing a check. I can also give you e-mails of others who have bought it if you want testimonials, and check out the picture of it in my photo album.mollyndakota@hotmail.com

Alex,; ; Hey if that cruiser stuff doesn't work I would also be interested in you getting some rubber made for the rear windows. If I ever get around to redoing my top the right way, I will need some of this. By the way, how many 4x4's do you and your husband own anyhow. I count 5 or so just on your photo album. I guess you can never have too many rigs though. Just out of curiosity, how do you think the patrol stands up to cruisers of the same era?

Thanks Alex. You can count me in on the sliders and the rear window rubbers you have it made. The step up from Canadian funds is no picnic but shipping is not too bad. "E" mail me when you are ready and I will send you the funds. I am in no hurry as I am concentrating on rebuilding the engine and power train for now.

Well everyone, this is where it stands, Gary bought the last of what I had in stock, I will have to order another minimum of 100 feet, and at present I am too broke to cough up that kind of money, so I will have more when I get the financing for my business in September, so look for more then.

Alex, I would be very interested in obtaining both the side window moulding and the back window moulding as soon as it's available. Can I send you a check for the side moulding now? Where should I send it? When might you have the back window moulding ready. What about the windshield moulding? John Stark jas@verio.com
