Patrol side emblem clips

Post by yitzac1990 »

Hello, does anyone have a lead on new "clips" for holding the side emblem to the fender? Mine disappeared somehow and auto parts stores dont seem to carry them. They are the kind that look like a "coned" washer, and fit over the metal studs with tension to hold it on.

I've used "speed nuts" in the past. You can source them at the specialty hardware drawers at the hardware stores.

Some options here:

Another name for them might be "push on nuts" or "push washers". Sure the hardware store has them.

Barrel clips:

Oftentimes, the clips scratch the paint as they are installed, leading to potential rusting of the metal. Consider using 3M double sided body tape to attach the emblems.

thanks everyone! I actually have a bunch of speed nuts, I didnt even think of that.

For those barrel clips, I guess I would have to drill the holes in the fender slightly bigger, correct? Im not worried about the paint being scratched, my patrol is full of rust
