Greetings, I am the new owner of this rig.
I've already started tearing it down after moving it from the yard, into a restoration shop where I rent space inside.
I am an experienced wheeler and I try to go out a few times a month- roads permitting.
I live in norcal therefore I regularly wheel the Sierras, Yosemite, Eldorado, Stanislaus, Mendo, etc.
This patrol is a little beat up around the edges. There is minimal rust for its age and for not having any top at all, the floors are actually in tact.
The worst part is that someone ran into spare tire, causing body damage. It's certainly cosmetic damage only. But with the indirect damage, some pinched metal, and now useless barn doors, it's not worth completely restoring.
That being said, it will function as a capable, lighter-weight off-road vehicle.
I have a line on another patrol that already has a swapped engine, but I have pulled the engine out of MY rig, in preparation for something turbo'd... And diesel...
More progress to come, in the project section.
Once I figure out a better title.
