Greetings 50Car, I live in a shady little German town north of San Antonio. We have three mechanics in town and I have spent plenty of money with each rebuilding 4 wheeling whims. I hate to ask this but I trust you, and readers of this forum, to deliver the right answer far more than them so I'm asking the following. First, I don't have either Patrol near me.... yet. I working in advance. However, I am sending two E Brake bands to be relined at Sacramento Clutch and Brake as per this thread. However, they require the outside diameter of the friction plate. If I have misnamed the part, it is the part that looks like a steel wheel that shows up in the lower right of the 3rd picture of your tutorial. If you or anyone reading knows that diameter I sure would appreciate learning it.

Good morning -- I just measured the one I had Capitol Clutch work on. 5-7/8" diameter (see pic) awhile ago. Since it was my e-brake assembly that they worked on (this exact one), they may have records showing the info needed. It would be on their invoice number 1303748 / Order # W1*1863661. The salesman was Ryan.

Or, Emily (my lovely wife) or I can take ours by CapClutch so they can measure it (it may be a few days before we can though)

Based on John's experience and recommendation, I sent my parking brake to CapClutch back in January. It was less than a week from send to receive, and was about $90, all in. I dealt with a guy named Jake and it was easy and painless.

Thank you Soft60 for the reinforcement. In the meantime, I have found another place closer to home in San Antonio called.......San Antonio Brake and Clutch. I am having three E Brake bands relined so just to save shipping and time I will probably hand carry them there and make sure they know what they are doing. If they do, then I will leave them with SAB & C, if not I'll stop by UPS and send them west to Sac.

With the pictures already uploaded to this forum it is possible to do things right the first time, which not my norm.

Good work - I looked everywhere as I thought I would be able to just purchase a whole new brake shoe assembly.
After some advice from Esteban on another thread I dropped it off this morning to my local brake shop who will reline it for me. Hopefully not too expensive after reading this write up, looks very straight forward.
