Patrol Sighting!

Really old stuff that got saved. Here are the old Nissan Patrol Club America messages from the 'General' category. Warning, it's dusty in here!

Patrol Sighting!

Has anyone considered checkin' out those classic Godzilla flicks?  I'm very sure of having sighted Patrols during the show(s), even before ever owning one. Just last night I caught the last minute of the original B/W       "Gamera" movie: You'll notice the little Japanese boy (seen in every movie) standing and waving goodby. Right behind him is what appears to  be the passenger side (to us) of a true blue Patrol. It clearly shows the  dash and windshield. With all those Godzilla type movies out there, it would not be hard to compile a sighting registry based on this series alone!                                                                             Martin

I live in the Albury/Wodonga region (border of NSW and Victoria) and I know of ten G60's in the area. Two are farm hacks but the rest are daily commuters. It appears from the photos in this site that America has a high percentage of short wheel base vehicles.
So, I just bought this Patrol….

Cool another Aussie checking out the NPCA site! I noticed that the Home page has changed from Albuq. to America. Somewhere on this site is or was a brief history of the Patrol in America. Only the short wheelbases were imported from '61 - '69. If I remember the total right it was 2,616 vehicles (only 700 were softtops). The engine size was increased in 1966 to add 10 more HP and Torque. I'd be interested in knowing how many KL/L60 models were brought into Australia?; ; Joe W.

Also seen a blue '69 patrol on an "A-Team" episode.  Of course Mr. T blew it up with a grenade launcher.
