I put up a sail shade over the concrete apron behind the garage, where I do all the cleaning/degreasing, sanding, and stripping on all my large parts.... Keeps the sun off my bald head from about 8am to 3pm every day...

And, I decided to put the last remaining piece of my red 65 donor patrol to good use- I chopped up the frame, removed the 2 center cross members and all the shock and engine brackets, and made it into a roll-around body cart, to make it easier to do all the blasting, stripping, sanding, and painting on my restoration projects
Hard to believe that what was once this:
is now this:
I left all the body mounts in place, so now I can lift the body off my restoration project(s), mount it onto this cart, and can then work on the chassis, and the body, side by side...

Hopefully I won't get any commentary from the "I can't believe you did that to an intact frame" peanut gallery - This Patrol was always a "zero numbers matching" rig, and I didn't even have an ID number plate that matched the number on the frame (4-L60-02565); and the title I had for this Patrol said it was a 1962, which it wasn't - it was a 65 hard top. So, it's officially scrapped.
The body, the axles, the brakes, drivelines, and misc hardware from this Patrol will continue to live on as proper 1965 Patrol parts, as they have gone into the restoration of L60-3-00617, and will help bring it back to life...
