Are these patrol brake drums

I scrapped a 69 and the rear end was a spicer which is obviously not original however I'm wonder if the brake drums are from a patrol any insight would be helpful

That looks like a Patrol axle? How do you know it's a Spicer?

Here are some better pics of the rear axle. The differential cover says spicer and the u joint shackles look a lot smaller than on my 65. Also it looks like someone has cut off some bracket

Interesting. That round 'disc' that says Spicer appears to be a non-ferrous metal attached to the cover. Can you tell how it's actually attached?

I've never seen this on a Dana/Spicer rear axle, it's pretty cool!

Very interesting! I've never seen one either. The ends of the axle that you can see at the drum sure looks like stock.

I just looked at my 65 and the rear diff is different. Did they change rear end between 65 and 69? I will pull the diff cover off a snap some pics. Dumb question but h do you take the drum off and the shaft out

The rear diffs did not change. The one in your pictures is definitely not a stock diff.

The drum just slides off - with a bit of effort. Back off the brake adjuster first. The rears are a little easier, you can pry them off by inserting a pry bar between the lip of the center of the drum and the edge of the axle, then pry it up. Move from side to side so the drum comes off evenly.

Just compared shafts to the ones on my 65 and they are definitely not the same. But I might pull the diff cover off to save. The Spicer stamp is actually a rubber plug that inserts in a fill level hole. Very strange
