OK, got the hitch sorted by using a Daihatsu Feroza receiver linked to an amazing lump of ironmongery that the local chandlery had for only $140.
First tow went without a hitch (ha ha), it was a 24' powerboat with a big straight 6 Volvo inboard engine. A heavy but well balanced trailer and no hills!

I'm shocked..my 62 hp 1966 Datsun 520 has a higher payload rating than the Patrol

Great to see the Patrol at work, doing what it does best. I imagine that there won't be much that you can't move with it.
