Watch out for dishonest

Beware of buying parts from "Vladimier" on this site or on EBay. I am the third person who hasn't received the alternator "kit" that I won on EBay. He will not answer ANY OF OUR EMAILS and we have all paid! I talked to the other winners and they have waited for almost a month. I have a feeling there is only one kit (if that) and he "might" sell it to the highest bidder. It has been listed three times and every time for more money. I can forward the emails I received from the other high bidders to back this up.

Watch out for dishonest

I have bought and sold TONS of stuff on Ebay as well as on this site.  I appreciate how honest and loyal most people are.  When this happens it is a big disgrace.  I feel for anyone who has been ripped off.  A couple of hints for Ebay.  I was only ripped off one time for a measly $3.  You can file a complaint with Ebay for fraud.  I did this as well as several other people who did not receive the items from the same seller.  If you pay with Pay-Pal you use your credit card so you have some protection from fraud.  I just gave up on the $3 though.  Filed a fraud complaint and left it at that.  I hope that you are able to at least get this person banned from Ebay before he rips off anyone else.  Sorry guys! jeepcj_6@yahoo.com

Well unfortunately it hasn't been a month for me yet so I will have to wait. It's amazing  how shady some folks can be. The plus side is via the internet I know a little more about him, my best friend is a lawyer and West Easton ,Pa is near to some relatives of mine. I think he should be banned from Ebay and this site and I will do my best to see that he is. I'll keep you all informed as it progresses.

Hey gang.   I don't know if any of these accusations are true, but I must admit when I saw all of Vladimier activity on ebay with regards to PATROLs along with his current activity here on the NissanPatrolClubAlbuquerque it raised an eyebrow. I too wondered where all these *kits* were coming from.   You know that Vladimier is or has been in charge of re-arranging and organizing our NissanPatrolClubAlbuquerque web sight too... Which only furthered my suspicions. But that is all just my paranoid ass! So, I think we should give him some benefit of the doubt. Maybe he is just real busy rebuilding that PATROL of his. No excuse to not send the stuff you guys bought, but at least a reason.   Before you guys flame him on ebay, post a message here asking him to explain, and maybe provide some ebay e-mail address of people that have actually received the parts... If he cant provide that, then maybe we have a complaint? If he can, then maybe he just dropped the ball on a few? Anyway, you guys have access to him here, make use of it... And if it turns out that he is a shaddie person, lets hope that he does not delete all of our sights info in retaliation!   Grant

I would love to give him (Mike, Vladamier, whatever) the benefit of the doubt but he will not respond to email. I am not the only one by the way, I can send anyone who wants it correspondence I have had with other people who have not received their kits. Not one has! I checked. My auction closed on 3-21-2002 so I hope he makes me eat my words and sends me what I paid for. I just find it a little unerving that he keeps re-listing these kits yet no one has received one yet. I have and will warn anyone involved in an auction with him of my and others situation. I too am building up my patrol but when I enter into a contract, I honor it. Period. He had no problem taking my money and I will be vigillant in getting it or the merchandise back. I definately wouldn't want him to have access to my site!

>>I definately wouldn't want him to have access to my site!   Well... until this is all cleared up I would highly sugest that you email the Nissan Patrol Culb web master, ie:   Email Stephen Smith at sehi_smith@hotmail.com    And have him remove (Mike, Vladamier, whatever) access to *our* sight. In that he is has been moving thing around and removing things (ie the projects section) and who knows what other things. And I agree with you Sean... it is very strange that he keeps listing these kits... espically if like you said NO ONE has recived ONE yet. Im not a ebay pro, but I do know that some auctions dont go if the min value is not met... That is to say, you may have been the highest bidder, ie winner, but if no one's bid met the min value... which is not the starting value of the bid mind you, but some other min value (I forget the dam name for it) that the auction does not go through... But, I dont think that is the case here, in that you said he took your money, thus... I think you may want to contact ebay in some way, and defintally contact our web master here to remove Vladamiers access to this sight until this is all cleared up.   Grant

He has told me he will refund my money plus 10%. If you are reading this Vlad you have 24 hours to do so, or the wheels of justice will begin to roll (faster). I have been in contact with others who have the same store (including the "refund" promise). Nine cars bought from him and not one delivered.

Watch out for dishonest

In February, I purchased a 1967 Nissan Patrol.  I was psyched about the car, and found the onl;y site on the internet that covers this car, this site here.   I live in front of my computer.  I was looking for parts, and found that the "for sale" section was, to be kind, very stale.  I offered my services to Stephen, and offered to confirm what was still available and what was not.  I cleaned up the "Patrols for sale" section (pretty damn well, I might add) but mostly found that there are not many parts out there for sale that I needed.   In making parts for my patrol (with 2 machine shops right down the road) I did what most serious restoration people do;  Make multiple parts, and sell the extras to fund my restoration.  I sold (and delivered) 6 alternator conversion kits, about 40 NOS oil filters, 5 (so far) end link kits, plus I have an oil filter re-location kit that I sell.  These are all designed by me, manufactured by these machine shops.   I paid $400 for a Nissan Parts Book.  I also paid a local company to scan this and burn CDS with the data to recoup my investment.  I was told delivery of these CDs would be completeby 3/1/2002, and I unfortunately pre-sold a few.  I still have yet to receive delivery of these CDs, and I refunded anyone who paid for these over a week ago.   The alternator conversion kit is fantastic.  I use one, and I immediately  delivered 6 more to interested customers.  Unfortunately, I sold over 15 of them, and I have been scrambling ever since to get them together.  As 2-3 people were waiting over 2 weeks, I tonight offered everyone a 110% refund on thier purchase.  Only after that did this flaming begin.  In fact, after making this offer, one person instead of accepting this threatened to sue if the refund was not received within 24 hours.  I rashly answered for him to F*** off.  After thinking about this for a few hours, I must admit I still feel the same way.   It is unfortunate that I did not have all of the items in stock.  It is unfortunate that the 90% of the items I sold and delivered did not recieve any positive comments.  It is unfortunate that the only single site for the vehicle I Love I will now no longer be comfortable visiting.   Dishonest?  Not at all.  Overwelmed by orders, yes.   To Stephen, Grant, others that I have spoken with (via e-mail), I apologize.  To those who will be receiving a 110% refund instead of the item they ordered, I'm sorry.   I was trying to improve the site, improve the Patrols we love, and increase awareness.  This type of discussion is unfortunate
