Starter Motor

Post by JWW »

The starter motor on my 1969 patrol failed. Does anyone have a new or used one for sale?

Starters are getting harder and harder to come by -

Then and Now Automotive in Massachessetts could probably rebuild yours for you.. http://then-now-auto.com/

There was a discussion earlier on another thread that says this starter may work.
http://store.alternatorparts.com/partno ... 18110.aspx
But I don't think anyone has bought it and tried it out yet.

Using the Model # on the sticker in the picture 18110N I found the following:

http://www.obbstartersandalternators.co ... -1940.html

The part number 23300-C0600 is listed there as a reference, and it is the Nissan part number for the Starter Motor that was changed around 1973. I used to have both models.

Great find!
