That's the thing that has me waffling about it- The contrast of the canvas top works better with the white body (In my opinion). The same effect would not be had with a big white hardtop sitting on it.

For a white hardtop Patrol, I was considering possibly going white on the body, white on the side panels of the hardtop, then doing the cap of the hardtop in a darker color like gray, something like this (pardon the rudimentary MSPaint graphics):

And then I would do the "factory style" gray interior, wheel wells and engine bay to match the cap.

or maybe a desert tan:

In which case I would do the interior, engine bay and wheel wells in body-color white, and would match the tan color to the seat upholstery...

Agree- and white has other definite advantages down here in Tattoine, Arizona... 8-)


White versus blue... it's a good thing I still have several months to think about it as I toil through the process of paint removal and body work.... 8-)

Nobody likes the idea of a gray roof... especially my wife.

so, if my Patrol ends up white, it will probably have a tan roof.
