Was messing around in the shop the other day and came across an old starter for my 1946 plymouth that I had sold a couple years ago.... was looking at it and realized it was almost exact in the measurements for installing onto a patrol.... Hmmmmmmm

The gear as you can see extends further into the housing and would just contact the ring gear ...
oh and by the way, this starter came off a 6 volt positive ground vehicle....

These plymouth starters actually may be almost as difficult to find :think: :think: ..... so I don't think that the spare Patrol starters have depreciated in price at all :lol: :lol:
