Can or has a G60 ever done 100 MILES PER HOUR you have asked, I dont think a standard P six with three speed could or should attempt this.
I spent many years upgrading my 60 to achieve 100 plus MPH. how. 307 small block chev with alloy heads, hydraulic roller cam , roller rockers, balanced rotating assembly, Mcgee throttle body fuel injection
MSD CDI ignition, custom long runner extractors and dyno tuning. Marks 5 speed g/box,detoit locker a good set of springs with upside down Decarbon shocks.
I must add I was praying I didn't blow one of my BF Goodrich mud tires at the time , the crazy part was it had more in reserve .never tried to get it flat out ever.(not a good idea)
Here is a picture of the new engine I have assembled to go into my new creation. Why you may ask. I tend to get carried away at times . Oh well can't go back now.
Oh I forgot to add my G60 transfercase burnt out the layshaft roller bearings due to oil starvation from sustained high speed highway driving towing a offroad trailer.
I cured this by machining out the case and geerset & fitting tapered roller bearings.no more problems.

Re: Building the G 120
That is just so sick and insane, in a very good way.
With that setup your G60 should easily do well over 100 mph. But yeah, off-road tires aren't rated for those speeds.
This is the first account I have ever heard of a transfer case burning up, understandably though.

Beyond any hope for intervention

Crower crank, rods, pushrods, rev kit, offset roller rockers, springs & retainers. 353 ci. dynoed at only 467 hp. new cam and other mods as yet haven't been assembled or tested.
Nothing has happened with this project since approx 1999. FRUSTRATING.
