Godamn Patrol parts suck to get

what do you need....?? If you can take used parts I have 3 trucks in pieces here in my shop. If you need new parts, well I am pretty low of stuff.   I get a lot of people trying to contact me for parts. If you are one of them and I have not helped I do appologize. But I am just not made of money and it is very hard for me to stock very many parts. Imagine several hundred people wanting parts just like you. One guy can get it all (me) but he has to fund it all too. That means if 10 people want $200 worth of parts I have to shell out $2000 from my pocket to get the parts, which takes me 3-6 weeks to import from overseas. Then I have to hope you still want the parts. If you don't and located them elsewhere I am stuck with the parts and the out of pocket cash. I own 7 Patrols and 3 other trucks on top of that. Hard to spend $2000 of my cash on your parts when my trucks need work too. Kind of a delima....   We have some resources on my websites forum. A new member has posted about being able to rebuild fuel pumps and maybe more. www.rmp-o.com and there is also resources here. Look in the various sections and you will find parts links plus parts crossovers.   I do feel your frustration and so do most Patrol owners. I have the solutions but not the means (cash) to solve this problem that has plauged our beloved Patrol for so long.

May I recommend a Jeep Wrangler? Parts are mighty easy to get, but then again, you'll need them...

you guys make some funny comments....sell it and buy a jeep! heh....   a Z car ign will go on the Patrol, pretty sure this is from an L28 inline 6 motor. Other stuff has been used too and one of the ign places will make you stock one elctronic. I also have kits from time to time that will make a stock dizzy electronic.

Teeheehee....   That's why a lot of Patrol owners always have at least 2 Patrols. The other one is for the parts that you can't get. You go out looking for a particular part, find it on a truck and end up buying the whole truck. My hard top cost me $200, and now I have the whole truck to figure out what to do with.   Oh, and it never happens as quick as you want to. Figure a Patrol restoration will take about 4 times longer than any other car/truck, just because it'll take you that long to find the parts you need. On the other hand, if you have, say like 3 extra Patrols sitting around for parts, then you can maybe cut that time in half. But you'll probably end up adding a couple more parts trucks to the collection in the mean time, just trying to find a good fender or door or tub or hood or soft top frame. Hence you eventually end up with a friggen Patrol farm!   But just drive one once and you're hooked. Especially if it's a nice, clean, solid stock one.

yeah. Thats what I figure. Ive been thinking about swapping the nissan driveline out for something more common, like a Jeep 258, or a modern Cherokee XJ driveline. It would cure my main concern about the Patrol which is getting stcuk somewhere in the boooonies with no possibility of getting parts..*******************************************************************************************"Some men see things as they are and say why.I dream things that never were and say why not."********************************************************************************************>From: "Reply-To: "Nissan Patrol Club Albuquerque" >>To: "Nissan Patrol Club Albuquerque" >>Subject: Re: Godamn Patrol parts suck to get>Date: Mon, 15 Nov 2004 14:16:48 -0800>
