Huabtais!

Post by Huabtais »

It's me, Mark. I went on hiatus I suppose. My promotion at work increased the workload there somewhat, and then Life started to happen. Went back to finish up college, as a full-time student, while working full-time. I put a new roof on the house and did some other renovations. I had made some time for the patrol and put the new head on, the last thing that needed done. It started right up, and then leaked at the back of the head. :x New gasket and proper sequence, etc. I've got a sneaking suspicion that the torque wrench at my buddies wasn't as quality as I would like, but at that moment, I really just couldn't deal with it any more, so I planned to try again in the morning. The pathway to hell is paved with promises and good intentions.... Summer semester just ended, so I think now I will actually get it done. I'm sitting here today waiting to hear back on a job I had interviewed for ( with a $3/hr raise) and needed something to take my mind off it. I found my way here, with lots of familiar folks, so I decided its time I returned.

Welcome to 60Patrol! :text-welcomeconfetti: :text-woo: We're glad you found your way here.

Feel free to great an album in the Gallery and upload all the pictures that you want. :D Is your Patrol in the USA Patrol Registry yet? http://www.60patrol.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1685 If not send me the info and I will get it added. It's great to hear that you still have your Patrol and an interest in it. Look around here, you'll find tons (gigs?) of info for you; parts manuals service manuals, brochures, etc in downloadable pdf format for your pleasure. :) Nice having you here! :greetings-wavingyellow:

Welcome Huabtais!!   Long overdue...

Huab. It means cloud when literally translated...

You need to introduce yourself to this wonderful group.

Hope you solve the head problems. Check also the freeze plug at the rear of the head for some pinholes, and also inspect (with a mirror) the one in the block.

Yes Sir, Mr. Bosque Sir. I have not been injured since, and don't intend to. Knock on wood. I won't do the horror pics if I do. I'm not gonna lie, I've missed you guys! Glad to hear the rests are working out. My one contribution to the patrol community, right there. I will get some pics up soon, hopefully driving it!

Outing me right away... I'm glad a few of you remember me. It seems real nice here so far. Everyone is friendly as usual. :romance-grouphug:

And you never fail as the the go-to tech guy Esteban! I still credit you with helping me rebuild my generator, over the phone nonetheless. Thanks for the advice. I'm hoping to get to it this weekend. Right now the patrol is about an hour away so I don't currently have the luxury just running out to the garage to tinker with it. Just being on here for 30 minutes got me re-infected with the patrol bug....

All that's left is to register the darn thing and I get to drive it. Probably the slowest project I've ever done, but well worth it! Between a new job and moving the Patrol got set to the side. The hit to the finances that moving caused didn't help either. Getting all settled now and hoping to bring it up to the new place at the end of this month and start driving it! I might have look for a side job to keep it fueled after waiting a couple years to get to drive the thing.
I'll have to get all caught up. 35 pages of unread posts....I was gone too long! :shifty:
