Windshield Profile and Rubber

I will ask my buddy at the glass shop, but i would think as long as its glued properly either would be ok. Also i went through his gasket book, and there isn't anything even close. If we do a group buy i would be in for at least one gasket, maybe three. This would be for my patrol, and the two UTEs i want to build. Let me know whoever puts this together, PLEASE.

I’m traveling tomorrow to visit my brothers. As I mentioned, my windshield rubber is already purchased. I will take a good look at it and report, although I won’t be able to have internet access all the time.

Due to weight limitations and the fact that I’ll have to pay for the extra bag to bring this stuff with me, I figured out that I can bring the rubber for 5 extra windshields. Estimated the weight a 6 lb ea. The maximum weight of the bags is limited to 50 lb. Also, the place that sells this rubber told my friend that he has stock for probably 7. Most probably this material is manufactured in Colombia. Once factored the shipping cost, each one will end up at around $95. Will confirm.

...I would still be interested in Estebans offer. However, I did measure my 65 and 67 rubber and although shrunk a bit the outside face measures 3 cm and I think Estebans photo shows 4+. This would leave you close to the wipers and lapping the bottom/cowl vents. Maybe I'm off on something but what do you all think?

This rubber is slightly larger on the outside. You have a keen eye David. It doesn't interfere with the vent. I don't think it encroaches the wiper area at all. The following picture shows this rubber installed. It is the same rubber, but installed some years ago.

The photo that I goofed is of the rear window seal. It looked bigger with my hand back a ways and the end in the camera (perspective) but I matched it up sizewise with the reardoors.

Do you know where this weather strip came from? It wouldn't have come from Scott's Old Rubber because the rear windows were part of the factory hard top which wasn't available in Australia.

Thanks for this offer, rubber parts are the most impossible thing to obtain. That is why the side window rubber maker is my hero, having new moulds made and doing small batches.
River, I checked the receipts and see no indication of the rear window rubber.

Actually it's only 60 F the max, and 46 F the low. It's in the mountains at 9200 feet (2800 m) of altitude. Max temp all year long is 70 F.
