Looks like the TR24489 is a discontinued belt, but I found one on ebay. The TR24 series is 21/32 wide and the TR22 from the Land Cruiser is 19/32. Probably not a problem but I guess the belt could bottom out and not touch sides of the pulley and possibly slip. For quick comparison 5/8 would be 20/32.

Found a TR24493 belt, that also seems to be a discontinued and obscure part number, that fits nicely with the swapped out 3/4 alternator pulley. The metric number is 17AV1250. I need to pick up a serrated flange bolt to keep the adjustment properly tensioner.

I ordered a Gates 21918 hose for the bypass and after significantly mutilating it and not satisfied with its appearance and future poor performance, I took a run to parts stores with my original. At Autozone I came across something that is a perfect match to my old bypass hose. The Continental A70637 works perfectly with minimal folding. Sorry about the sideways photos.

Excellent find for the bypass hose.
I was going to add to my notes, and found that I have there the Dayco 70637 as well for this purpose, so it's the same hose!

What I found in the past, is that the cross-section of all these belts seem to be the same, so they fit at the same depth in the pulley, but obviously have less lateral contact and will probably last less than the proper one (80k miles compared with 100k
)

I see in your picture with the belt that you have an oil filter adapter. Did you use the design by member Pancho? I'm running a similar one.

Esteban, yes my father made me one for my birthday last year. I gave him some drawings I pilfered from here. My belt had to be longer due to my bracket and alternator conversion. I have a TR24476 that is stock length at 47.6 inches but I needed 49.3 inches.

I have noticed that some of the Dayco 70637 bypass hoses are not nearly as preformed as others. The one I picked up at Autozone must have been older stock as it carried a Continental name on the label and was more of a shape like a 7. Several of the Dayco ones I have seen look more like an L. This might cause a kink if not performed like the one I picked up. Looking at Rockauto I see a couple other part numbers that you may find at your local parts store. Gates #20693, Continental #63735 and AC Delco #20049S.
