Need Parts for the Spare Engine
I've got most of a P engine I'd like to build and use as a spare. However, I am missing a crankshaft, useable camshaft, and complete cylinder head.
I'm not afraid of buying new, but I'm not sure about sourcing (the Alibaba guys scare me). Any ideas?.
Thanks.

Re: Need Parts for the Spare Engine
Hey, Jeff:
I bet I'm the guy who sold you one of your patrols about five or six years ago. I'm across from The Dalles. It was a faded red in color and I brought it down from Canada a few months before.
Did I get it right?

That would be correct.
If you look at my gallery of photos, you will see the transformation of the faded red patrol in the gallery labeled "Noggin". We named it after the Okanogan area north of us where you said it came from.

I bet she still runs on O'Keefe's Extra Old Stock if the fuel tank goes a little dry.
There's a reason the Canadians call that beer "high test".
It looks like she found a good home, Jeff.

Re: Need Parts for the Spare Engine
Not this time. Years ago, I did purchase the engine that came out of the heavily modified brown body that was for sale. That engine ended up in the soft top 67 that I sold and went to southern california. It later was sold again and do not know where it went.
