Transmission and transfer case gaskets
Price list.jpg gasket2.jpg gasket1.jpg Transfercasegaskets.jpg Transmissiongaskets.jpg I sent the old gaskets and one cover from my transmission and transfer case to Cometic gaskets to copy, so they are now available from them. Here is what they came up with. I have not had a chance to fit them up ...

P40 timing chain tensioner
I ended up with a timing chain tensioner for a P40, that was mislabled as cam bearings. Part number 13070-32200. Tiffin parts did not want it back, so free to whoever can use it.

Re: Camshaft and lifters
moore_rb, you hit the nail on the head!
the cams i am used to installing have a lot better surface finish, but they do have a lot more spring pressure on them.

Re: Camshaft and lifters
Esteban, I wanted to inspect the cam and lifters before I put the machine shops name on the forum, and from my initial inspection I don't think I will. The lifters have enough crown on them, about .001" from the center out, but the surface finish is a little rougher than I would like to see. Th...

Re: Camshaft and lifters
Update on a cam and lifters. I purchased some engine parts from a forum member which included a cam and some lifters. I dropped the new to me cam and 14 lifters off at a cam grinder earlier this week. Original quote is $125 to regrind the cam and $7 per lifter to regrind them. I'll post some picture...

Re: Camshaft and lifters
Pcam1.jpg Pcam2.jpg moore_rb and jwgreen, thank you. That is a bit steep for a cam. I was planning on having the cam and lifters that i have reground if they were good cores. Unfortunately they are not. Two lobes and the corresponding lifters have damage that would not clean up. Yes I would be inte...

Camshaft and lifters
Does anyone know of a source for a cam and lifters for a 69 P engine? I have read where the P40 cam should work but not the lifters. I have not posted in a long time, but read the forum every day :). From reading it seems rings, bearings, gaskets, pistons, springs and valves will not be a problem, j...
