T-18 Transmission with dana 18

I don't know if a p-40 starter will work on the p engine. Forklift parts shops can get you a new p-40 starter. Or you can have a auto electric shop rebuild your old one.     Willie

stock 69 patrol

I also have a 69 Patrol with the sock running gear, except for the Toyota Fj-40 rear end. It depends what your going to use it for. Mine is just for weekend use and I don't do any rock crawling. The stock motor is very industrial and has a lot of low end pulling power. The 1st gear is a little high,...

Fuel Pump Diaphragm

I am rebuilding my fuel pump. It looks like the check valves are still available from Nissan but not the diaphragm. Does anyone know of any aftermarket or compatable diaphragms? It say's Kyosan Denki on the top of the pump. The patrol is a 69.      Thank you ,  Willie

what is the M.P.G. of the patrol

I was just wondering what m.p.g. the patrol gets with 30 inch mud tires. Couldn't be any worse then my Land Rover's 13.5 mpg. I will probably get a commuter car soon.      Willie

Removing Transmission from engine

I just pulled my engine out to be rebuilt. Now I am trying to get the transmission off of the engine. The bolts are removed from inside the bellhousing. I can not get a socket on the top nut. Is there a special tool for this? How do you get to the bottom bolts?      Thank you,  Willie
