T-18 Transmission with dana 18
I never did it but I bought a transmission and T-case but sold the Patrol. Advance adapters sells new input shafts of various lengths and the splines are supposedly the same as the Patrol. It would be a great swap. Good luck!

gas vent on top of tank?
yeah the vent tube goes to the filler neck and then right back out again, straight to atmosphere. it can be a source of fumes but a leak of some sort is also possible. I can say that a pressurized gas tank is like a huge bomb with a torch for a fuse. just be careful. i would just cap the vent tube a...

Rochester single barrel still? It's really easy to open up and put back together. Problem is your accelerator pump not pumping. I put a new one in mine some time back but the pump bore was too worn to fix problem. so I replaced it with a reman unit for about a hundred bucks. luck of the draw, it lea...

marks 4wd 5spd for the 60 series Patrol, it is possible!
Well I have been holding my tongue for long enough on this one. I actually have a T-18 waiting to go in my Patrol. I also have a Dana (Spicer) 18 T-case to use at the same time. This is the best option for me, and the worst option for some. It really is just another choice we all make in our day to ...

Radiator Cap
It's funny, my original cap disintegrated right before I took a road trip last summer so I stopped in at an O'reillys and got one that worked but it was a 7 lb cap where my original was a 4lb cap. My lower hose blew apart 150 miles from home. I would suggest you stay away from the 13 lb cap unless y...

sounds to me like a shorted coil. if the coil has zero resistance between the pos and neg terminals, try a new one. Actually, just try a new one first, that is the only logical culprit. A circuit with no load is a short. In the ignition circuit, the coil is the only load (should have some resistance...
