Gas Mileage????

Chris; Expect about 13-17 mpg on avg. In proper tune they're surprisingly good with gas. Mine definitely runs best on 91 oct., and I regularly use a lead substitute. Good luck with your Patrol!

All these great ideas!!

Kudos to the suggestion to 'spark' some life into our message board! Now we have a serious discussion going on about the possibility of a tranny swap [I'll try to ignore the "Toy' thing!], an HEI conversion in the works, and "Alex's 4x4 Supply"....Looks like our club is on to some ex...

No Pwer?

I'd mostly agree with Gary. I had a '76 Datsun 720 PU once with the exact same prob. It would start OK but had no power to go...Turned out the timing was 180* off. That's simply a matter of double checking your camshaft and resetting the timing chain- well, do Patrols have chains? Yes, I had been t...

OE Aftermarket hubs

Hi fellow Patrollers! I want to pull my front hubs and grease them, but would like some pointers before doing so. It is equipted with, I've been told, "Selectrol" or "Selectramatic" type hubs, locally made but long out of business. These have two 'fingers' on each hub, to engage...

Jerry, Someone said here in the Mess Board before, that the OE style bumpstops for the windshield are available from a Datsun aftermarket supplier in Northern Cal, they specialise in the old 210-510 series cars....You'd have to search the old messages though. Good Luck!

240 Patrol? or Patrol Z?

I know the subject has come up before, I'd still like to know if anyone had ever tried to mate a Z car engine to the Patrol? And, would any of the parts be compatable?  Then what would we get, a unique 4WD truck that performs like a 240Z? Get really adventurous and put a lift to a 240Z, drop in th...

original price for '63 patrol

Reagan;   How legible is that window sticker? It would be really cool if you could take a pic of it and post it to the photo album so we all can see it! The back door on my rig has a faded, old dealer sticker on it, 'ABCO Motors', proving that the truck has remained locally owned all its life....
