Re: Patrol refurb + minor upgrades
Another part option found for radiator hoses. I will look to see if there is a radiator hose compatibility thread but these two Gates hoses from O'Reilly's match the profile nearly perfect once you trim the excess. Not sure what vehicle the original length was intended for, but cut out the portion t...

Re: Patrol refurb + minor upgrades
I FINALLY found the correct speedometer cable for my '69 (female at transfer, male at speedo) which is different from my Dad's '68. Wanted to share here since I am more or less using this threads to keep my build notes together when I think it's worth sharing, but I also added it to a Speedometer ca...

Re: Speedometer Cable
Reviving an old thread here as I just went through a hunt for a speedometer cable for my 1969. Not sure if the '69 is a change year, but my cable needs to be female at transfer case and male at the speedo. As far as I know my '69 gage cluster is all original, but honestly who knows. I wanted to shar...

Re: Patrol refurb + minor upgrades
Another easy modification solution that looks decent. Door cards from ABS plastic sheet. Really cheap and easy to transfer a shape and cut out with a Dremel bit.

Re: Patrol refurb + minor upgrades
Yes I did rebuild the engine. Thankfully I found another person on Facebook marketplace who gave up on their Patrol project and had already sourced most of the parts I needed. Anything remaining I sourced on eBay.

And as it sits today. No other different type of repairs/upgrades worth mentioning to get to this point yet.

Re: Patrol refurb + minor upgrades
Also made some decent at best rear doors. Mine were badly bend and I had some tubing and 1/16" plate laying around. So I made some overly heavy rear doors.

Patrol refurb + minor upgrades
First off I am really bad about posting anything, but if I can tell remember I will post as I go through my low budget refurb. So far I have swapped frames and rebuilt the engine, transmission, and transfer case. These are pretty documented but I can share insight and pics if you have questions, but...
