Re: Alternative fuel gauge & sender setup on my 1967.

Hello,
Not to worry, this is what I used.

I purchased the 8" tall version. Works great and easy to install.

Bump me back if you have any issues.

Re: Alternative fuel gauge & sender setup on my 1967.

OMG! Sorry for the delayed response. I used the factory hole. As soon as I found the correct depth / length for the probe, it was just a matter of finding the correct diameter mount plate. As I recall, it was shockingly easy.

Good point on the pics. Despite the tutorial, shrinking pics for placement on the forum is futzy for me.

Re: Cleaning fuel tank?

Hello fellow Patrolers, I've been meaning to pen this for a while. This forum has given me so much help that I needed to give back as it were. So, my Patrol tank was so heavily varnished up that the local guy with a history of dealing with dirty tanks simply handed it back to me with a statement of ...

Re: USA Patrol Registry

Outstanding news! I've already emailed the previous owner. And I see a few posts from the owner before that so I'll be penning him as well. Excited to converse with those that have put forth the love of keeping this old bird on the road. This is really cool! Thanks admin!

Re: USA Patrol Registry

Sorry for omitting that... I would have but it's missing. Sadly some previous owner felt compelled to keep it.

Re: The Quick/Small/(Stupid?) Question Thread.

Does the wire that goes to the thermostat branch off from the wire loom that goes to the alternator? I found the thermostat but it has no wires attached? I see a pale yellow wire that isn’t attached to anything but does appear to be long enough to attach to it.

Re: Alternative fuel gauge & sender setup on my 1967.

Where in the world is this located? I poked around today before my trouble like puked out on me.

CHECK THAT QUESTION ABOVE. I found the sensor. No wire attached to it and mine has a tiny brass screw in the center to attach the wire.
