Good stuff mate,
I swear these things breed or something cos I started with two and it doubled unexpectedly a couple months later.
I'm now fighting the urge to purchase one in NSW that has a 3-53 Detroit diesel in it.

Re: Main bearings
G'day, Just want to confirm bearing numbers. I've found a seller with MS1569P 10 thou main bearings but he says they are NDC. It appears that MS1569 is a clevite bearing number and the NDC bearings CWallace has is a different number again. Will the bearings still work? The seller is Competition prod...

Re: Head shave
Gday blokes, According to Michael Trinidad who raced A G60 in mud runs back in the day the secret is 3mm off the head, headers and springs from a chevy small block. He also ran a holley 350 economaster. Hes since sent these parts to me and Ill hopefully make a post when the engine is up and running ...

Re: Superchargiing the P engine?
L60Boerne, Thanks for your reply. I reckon you have a good point about waiting and seeing. Nitrous would be quite funny in such an old rig but ill keep it in the back of my mind. I've since talked to Michael Trinidad who previously raced a g60 in mud runs and he kindly sent me his cylinder head and ...

Wanted PTO output and Winch
Gday blokes,
Looking to buy a PTO and winch setup for my 1976 patrol. Even just a PTO output would be sweet, might throw an hydraulic pump on it in that case.
Located Western Australia but might consider paying postage.
Cheers,

Re: Superchargiing the P engine?
I figured the low rpm of the engine would make it more suited to supercharging over turbo charging. I'm not quite sure yet if it has had new valve seats put in for unleaded fuel, so there is potential for larger valves to be put in at the same time (no clue if thats possible with this engine). Its a...

Superchargiing the P engine?
G'day blokes, Acquired a 1976 G60H MWB and in the process of a complete refurbishment. But to make it an even more unique specimen I'm wondering on the plausibility of supercharging the weapon. Based on looks the factory pistons don't seem super strong, and I wonder what other bottle necks might exi...
