Thanks for all the information. I'm placing an order on a 32/36DGV. Once it gets here I'll post back if it bolts directly on and how it turns out.

A Weber 32/36DGV or DGAV would be about the right CFM rating and was a common swap for 4-cyl Datsuns running a Hitachi 2BBL from the factory using an adapter plate...companies like Redline in Australia used to make those but I don't know if they're still available. Hello, I have a Komatsu FG45-4 forklift with a P40 Nissan motor and it has a Hitachi DAF342-70 Carb. Weeks of research has led me to here.
