I would like to buy a used transmission/transfer-case skid plate that would work on a 1965 L60. I don't care how rusty or beat-up it may be. I believe I could also adapt a skid plate from an early model jeep if necessary. Please reply if you have such an item to sell.

I've been using Copper Coat gasket sealer on all kinds of head gaskets for over twenty years, including on some very old engines, and none have blown yet. You might try that. Also make sure your engine isn't overheating.
