Re: Starter shim
Thank you. I found that starter on ebay but the alphabet soup in the description made me wonder.

Re: Starter shim
You can buy the correct starter. I need to check my notes with saved links. I’ll do that later on my laptop and post them here. The P engine of the Patrol was fitted in some forklifts, so the starter is available. A couple of members here had purchased it before. Ooooo! Looking forward to that info...

Dave's Patrol
Hi everyone. I'm Dave. My Patrol and I are in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Thanks for accepting me into the forum. Special thanks to RiverPatrol for keeping this forum going as all us new Patrol people would be lost without it and I'm afraid there'd be plenty of Patrols that could be put back on the r...

So, it is used parts (which is fine of they are good) or nothing. Correct?50car wrote:The P motor is gear to gear so normally, no replacement is required. If the aluminum gear attached to can shaft is damaged, there are members on this site who have spare parts.

Timing Gears and associated parts.
I have searched and there are discussions here about the differences between the P and the P40 timing parts but I haven't actually found any info on timing set parts for the P. I am on the verge of an engine rebuild but if I can't get timing gears and associated parts it seems like a rebuilt isn't p...

Re: Replacement Gas Tank
If you need a fuel sending unit/level sensor my experience is that the new ones sold on ebay from Colombia work but they are later models so the F & E are reversed. It is best to find vintage parts that work. Patrolling in paradise, L60Boerne Noob question; can't the wires be reversed to correc...
