i am sure i will get burned at the stake for this one, however what i did was put 4 monroe air shocks on my 67 patrol. with 75 psi front and rear, the ride is pretty good, the height went up about 1 1/2 inch. the cost was about $160 and took about an hour. the part no. from monroe is MA705. ...

thats because that data plate is off of a 15000 pd trailer. i have some data plates like that around here somewhere from when i sandblasted my 1/4 ton jeep trailer. i bet they would look good on the glove box door of my old baja beetle. a VW munitions handler.. cool. i bet a brick of .22's wo...

How much torque can the stock axles take
i seriously doubt the driveline will handle that torque. also, that engine must be quite heavy. the front suspension will be down on the pads. i have had fantasies of a perkins engine and a 4 to 1 gear box inline for a super slow crawler but that is expensive. chris
