We were able to fix the exiting gears. The issue was resolved by pushing the cable in a bit further and tightening the assembly to hold in place.

Something is wrong with the speedo gear set on my Patrol such that we can't get the speedo cable to spin from the tranny/transfer case so something must be wrong with that gear set. Any more updates on a workable temp sensing unit? We tried one of the Helmar ones and it did not work on our 1964/1967, appears to be from a later vintage.
