Very good writeup and overview of the story Mick, it was a pleasure to lead you blokes through my local tracks for part of this adventure, any luck and my new found enthusiasm will continue and the swb will indeed hit the tracks!

Re: Thomas electric winch - Pics added
Hi Don, The winch will certainly work like that and I believe the worm gear would be ok for oil as the main gear would drag oil up to it but being low speed i don't think the bearings at either end would be happy as I think the gears would be moving to slowly to rely on oil 'flick off' to lubricate ...

Thomas electric winch - Pics added
Hi guys, I reasently picked up an old school worm drive Thomas electric winch for my rig, I'm trying to find some pics of one of these on the front of a g60 but haven't had any luck, plenty of the PTO version but these are a bit easier to mount as they don't have the extra gearbox on the front with ...

Re: P40 waterpump on g60 P motor
Thanks for your help guys, at this stage I haven't done any good on these leads but will keep trying, after a bit of mucking around I can confirm that the p40 pump will not bolt to the P block as was suggested but I think if someone was extra desperate I think an adaptor plate could be a possible op...

Re: P40 waterpump on g60 P motor
Ok so the p40 pump itself regardless of everything else won't physically bolt to to P block?? Anyone else in Australia have any ideas for a new/reco P motor pump?

P40 waterpump on g60 P motor
Hi guys, I'm trying to find out if a p40 waterpump will physically bolt up to the P motor, I understand they have their differences but I'm thinking if I can run a p40 waterpump, viscous coupling and fan (might need a custom pulley??) it would be a nice upgrade to the roaring steel fan. The main rea...

Re: Oil pressure sender, what works?
Not sure if this is what you are looking for in ebay http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Fuelmiser-Oil-Pressure-Switch-CPS22-/261952230151?fits=Plat_Gen%3AG60&hash=item3cfd91d307 I don't know if it is for a light or actual gauge. There are a few on ebay with conflicting descriptions. Hi Peter60, That li...

Re: Oil pressure sender, what works?
Thanks guys, I think I'll run the gauge down to my local electronics guy and see if he can give me and ohm range it works through, then I might be lucky enough to find one close enough from another vehicle, if I can't get it spot on it's not the end of the world but the little details make a differe...
