60Patrol

I have a 1969 g60 with an alternator issue (sparks and smoke). Im looking at replacing or rebuilding it. Does anyone know what I should replace it with? and or is it best to rebuild the old Mitsubishi, and if so who would I send it to? thanks again for the help

Thanks, Man I love this site!!!!!! also after a secondary check the negative wire was broken only allowing 4 volts compared to a solid 12 on the coil side at the distributor. Thanks again to all who contribute

the secondary question is will the flamethower coil be too much for the stock system? and here is the electronic ignition that wont fit

I was looking at upgrading our 1969 kl60 to electronic ignition. So I purchased a pertronix 1761 kid and flamethrower coil and wires. this unit dosent seem to match up? any one have an ideas. Until then I thinking of installing the coil and putting new points on her. Cant just let her sit around

It appears that its a 3 compartmented ( or baffled) tank. would the fish rocks still do the job? and what would be the best way (or product) to back flush the fuel line? Thanks great call on skid plate removal
