Re: Scotts Old Rubber

I FINALLY received my order and at first glance everything looks good. Time will tell. The holdup was the windshield molding, which probably because there isn't a huge demand, took forever to get made.

Re: Walt's Only Toy

Thanks for the nice comments. Yes, the diamond plate "just happens" to provide a place for a winch down the road. We also wanted it to look like something that could have come from the era.

Re: Walt's Only Toy

Thanks John. I'm going to look at the Trello website as soon as I finish here. I love project/timeline "stuff", which is weird, I know. :D RiverPatrol - I had never heard the term Scrum before. There seems to be a lot on the internet about it. Learn something new everyday. I've also used v...

Re: Walt's Only Toy

I can't use a paper and pencil because I usually forget where I put them. So I use a spreadsheet to do list, print it out, and take it to the garage on a clipboard. Kinda hard to lose a clipboard, even for me. Pics of the finished seat upholstery and bumper will be in my album (soon).

Re: '69 Engine Parts

Long overdue update on the rear main ( and other) seals. I hoped that clean oil would cure the leak (knowing the odds to be about 1 billion to one), and for sure it didn't :( . I took a little road trip, 125 miles each way, over the weekend and not only did the rear main leak, the tranny and transfe...

Re: Just saying hello

Welcome. Looks like you live in the right area for finding parts. Seems like when we need parts here in the States, someone usually says, "that is sometimes available in Australia", so something similar. :D

Re: Hello from Colorado

Welcome from the PNW out Washington way. Nice pics. I'm also working on a '69, but have to say yours looks like it is in much better condition. It's a fun project and the club is fun and I'm sure you'll find everyone to be very helpful.

Re: Walt's Only Toy

I decided that after all the work my son has put into the bumper, it would be a shame not to finish it properly, so I've got it out being Powder Coated. Should be done Wed afternoon. One of his goals was to make it look "period", so I'll be looking for input as to whether we accomplished t...

Re: Walt's Only Toy

Ha, Ha. Yeppers. It's "slightly" over-engineered/built, but my son is an Iron Worker so he tends to make things that will move Redwoods. It's in a powder coat shop now. Will post some pics when all is said and done.
