Album question
I tried to create an album for pics of my Patrol but keep getting a message that I'm "trying to exceed a system resource." Am I doing something wrong, or won't MSN allow any more albums in this group?

I received an email from this person last week. It had a slight odor of fish. I asked about an oil seal and the price he quoted was ten times what it should have cost... even for a Patrol.

Potential brake problem
FYI. You might want to look at the steel brake line on the front axle of 1960s Patrols where it arches over the differential housing. If the line passes under the highest bolt on the upper right of housing cover plate it might be rubbing through on the bolt head. This looks like a factory installati...

Running Temp.
The temperature rating of a thermostat means the temperature at which the thermostat begins to open, not at which the engine will run. The stock temperature gauge in my '65 Patrol also seems to read high, just under 212, yet I can still stick my finger in the radiator without getting scalded. Electr...

Does anyone have a fairly good pinion gear that will fit a 1965 L-60?

'65 L-60 differential
Thank you for the info about the front differential wear. I'm a truck and heavy-equipment mechanic, so adjusting differentials is no problem. I may have to install the front assembly in the rear as you suggested, at least as a short-term fix to get the truck back on the road, but I'm hoping someone ...

'65 L-60 differential
Thank you for responding, and for the info that the front and rear axle gears are the same. I know what you mean about noisy wheel bearings, but I replaced the rear wheel bearings some time ago and repack them along with the front bearings every two years. I pulled the cover off the rear differentia...

'65 L-60 differential
Hi. The rear differential on my '65 L-60 is getting very noisy (yes, I keep it full of oil). The truck is a daily driver, not used off road much lately, and has always had locking hubs so the front differential is tight. I assume the gear assemblies are the same, front and rear? So a short-term fix ...
