Not really much to explain. Someone wanted wider rims and made some. Used to happen all the time in the old days. The biggest obstacle is having them balanced. Most were done for offroad or farm use.

Quick question before purchase....Will these rims/tires fit my Patrol? The lug patern is 6x5.5. Tires came off of an '89 Chevy Blazer....

The wheels will fit perfectly. The tires will rub the rear fenders a lot. Also crucial to avoid the rubbing is the backspacing of the wheels.

Thanks for the info Esteban. So your saying the tires will rub on the inside of the rear fender well or the outside of the rear fender well?

The outside of the fender well. Should have mentioned it.
That's why you see some Patrols with the rear fenders cut to avoid the rubbing as well as raised suspension.

Ohh ok. Well I think my Patrol came with cut out fenders and a 2" lift. Take a look and tell me what you think. (I'm new to this Patrol world)
It has 33x12.5x16.5 tires now that are from 2005!

It looks like you'll be ok with the other tires you posted (Chevy wheels) :)

According to the opening post, backspacing of around 4 inches will be OK. Difficult to know what the backspacing is on those Chevy wheels.

That wheel arch looks stock to me but your Patrol does look to have a lift.
