Original and compatible parts

I have heard a rumor that the company may get back on track. If it does hopefully they will still make the seals and gaskets for the Patrol?

That would be fantastic. I'd love to get a set of the body panel seals.

With datsunlandsocal being no more, are their any other options for the body panel seals and other rubber parts?

I need the rubber seal that the windshield rests on, anyone has a line on where I can get one.

Thanks,

-Wade

That's a great idea. You are incredibly resourceful, Ron.

If you go on the parts list there are a few good replacements. Most can be found on eBay. Side Sliding window rubbers are the hard one.

I assume when you say, "I have,,," you mean you have the ability to make. yes? If so, this is awesome news.
And if you have the ability to make them, are these made per order, or do you have stock made up? Would it be advantageous to do a group buy?

I haven't looked up or read about a better solution yet on the forum.

I have. They worked out well for me. I have no idea what the original rubber looked like, and was willing to give this a shot. It fit perfectly into the channels around the front doors:

I installed it with this stuff: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00598XNT8 and a set of new razor blades for clean cuts.

The only issue I had was that it made one of the doors pretty tight to close. It seemed to compress over time, giving a better fit, but for the first few months, I had a hard time closing the passenger door because of the extra trim.
