Re: Engine Mounts?
I've lost track. Am I supposed to be looking for a mount still?
If so, give me a few days - I'm in the middle of something right now.
Beyond any hope for intervention

Re: Engine Mounts?
Well, I'm hoping that the place linked about the motor mounts would get back to us before you had to go rummaging around in boxes - if that's the case, I can have them rebuilt.RiverPatrol wrote:I've lost track. If that falls through, I may be sending you a PM. Thanks for checking!

Re: Engine Mounts?
All-
I just spoke again to Ted at Then and Now automotive-
I'm sending him all 4 of my mounts so they can measure them and set up the jig -
They have to see, and measure the mounts in order to quote a per-unit price for the rebuild, so I am eating the up front shipping costs to allow this analysis. The trade off is that the rest of you will have to wait a couple more weeks for the price quote
I'll remove mine from the Patrol tomorrow after work (blazing 115 degree temperatures be damned
), and will ship them off to them on Thursday. Ted said it would take them a week or so to figure out the unit cost, and to turn them back around.
More info to come, hopefully early next week.

Re: Engine Mounts?
I have an update from Then and Now automotive... They received my engine mounts, and Ted called me this morning to discuss...
Yes, they can rebuild them, but they have to set up the jig and molding process, and this process is going to take several months
The good news is that once mine are completed, they will be able to do anyone else's with about a one-week turnaround.
So anyone that can wait until about Thanksgiving will be able to get their engine mounts refurbished...
Cost will be about $85 per mount.

Re: Engine Mounts?
Ouch - I'm not sure if I can keep my engine out for several months and keep my wife happy (now that the garage is completely taken over with parts).
Are you planning on sending yours in?

They already have mine... and yes, I'm just going to wait. I don't need them until I re-install the engine in my other Patrol, which will not be in the next 4 months anyway...
$85 each is about $40 more per mount than the Internet price on the OEM mounts, but I have had zero luck finding the OEM's anywhere...

Re: Engine Mounts?
WOO HOO !
November came really early -
I got my engine mounts back from Then and now Automotive, and how cool is this? They embossed the original Nissan OEM part number in the rubber:
cost was $85 per piece
