Are there any companies that make a prefabricated exhaust system for our Patrols? I've looked online and have not found anything as of yet.

There isn't one as far as I recall. In my notes I have the following info regarding a muffler:

AP Exhaust 709993 at Amazon (Zed installed this one and also Justin Jwgreen and Pdub)

Thanks Esteban. That is a nice muffler, I've put it in my 'save for later' Amazon cart. The pipe I would really like to find is the downpipe that starts at the exhaust manifold and comes down past the front axle driveshaft and then turns horizontal. I can handle the rest of the system.......I don't plan on running it all the way to the back anyway.

Maybe RiverPatrol has a NOS pipe? :D

What is the exhaust pipe diameter (OD) between the exhaust manifold and muffler?

I want to order some mandrel bends and straight sections of exhaust pipe to build my exhaust system, but I won't be able to measure the exhaust pipe on the Patrol for a week or so..

Backfire. When I take my foot off the accelerator and start rolling down a hill my exhaust backfires a few times. Not a big BANG but just a few small bangs.

What causes this? I have backed off the mixture a little bit no major improvement.
Not sure if I will get there.

But I usually do!!!

A vacuum leak can case this.

A leak of the exhaust system. A failed gasket for instance, that allows oxygen to enter the exhaust once you take the foot of the throttle will cause what you describe.
