Well what they have in Common is that they are Both driven Regularly, while this one however doesn’t get Driven, it is mainly a Parts donor Vehicle, but will be also a Paddock Basher if I can manage to get the Spark to the plugs, as it only seems to go as far as the Points.
This Patrol was purchased off a G60 enthuisist, only payed $150 for it, I figure if I sold it when Scrap Value is up, I would most likely get that for it anyway, but why Scrap a Rare old Gem.
Starting of the Intro of the G60 it is a 6/1979 G60 MWB Softop, Original Motor and is Believed to have spent most of its life around the Base of Dorrigo Mountain NSW ,on the Farms.
This is my only G60 that has a Sticker/Decal on the Rear Quarter Panel ,my 66’ has a metal Plaque, while my 78 G60 doesn’t have any Decal or Plaques on it, was this only used on several G60’s or did All G60’s originally have the Decals ? Like the Majority of Aussie G60’s it is rusted out in the Rear Quarter Panels

The Front hubs are also a Different Set up to both of my other G60’s,there an Automatic Set-up, I read once somewhere that these Style hubs were original on all G60,is that True ? Both of my other G60 have Heavy Duty Selectro Hubs.

Having been working on Farms over it Life, I think this patrol has seen its Fair Share of Cow Manure, which helps sum up the fact that the Undersides of both front Guards have started to rust out and now eventually have rusted the complete way through, for those who also live on Farm of Cattle Properties would know how quickly Cow Manure will rust things.

I haven’t had the Engine running in this G60 as of yet, but the Radiator in it seems in Great Condition, it does also have a Sticker of a Radiator Reconditioning company. The Radiators in these old G60 tend to fall apart over time, I have seen it on a few G60 on the internet and in paddock find G60’s, but I am Lucky, all of mine are perfect.

One of the Big bonuses of this G60 over my other 2 is that the Handbrake actually works Great, all they usually take is Proper Adjusting, but the G60’s Handbrakes weren’t a Strong Point.

The front Grill has a few dints in it, but it also has a few holes along the centre pieces, assuming that this may have also had the big “NISSAN” Grill on it, like the later G60’s Did.
