If it doesn't fit in the others but is 60 series related, post it up.

I'm guessing Miller hasn't been around for a while as my previous post still hasn't made it into the registry (I did PM it too).

Hopefully this lot will - the collection of which put me in hospital...

It was a holiday on Monday and I was through at my folk's place so I headed down the paddock to grab all the VIN numbers from my G60s so I can register them.

That all went fine - so I headed back to the house.

After sitting down for a few minutes I thought my left felt a little damp, but when I touched it, there was no water or blood or anything. A few minutes later I felt like it again, and when I looked down I noticed there was a leech on my sock. No big issue - took it outside and killed it with salt. He wasn’t attached when I found him - but there was a mark on my leg where he looked like he had been - hadn’t drunk much anyway and couldn't have been there long.

That was fine - had leeches on my plenty of times before - the last time for over a day before I noticed (he was massive when he fell off).

But then I started getting really itchy, and Mum and Dad noticed my face was really red and swollen. Turns out my whole body was red and swelling up too - so they decided to take me into hospital.

The docs and nurses took it all fairly seriously. They gave me adrenaline and some other stuff I can’t remember the name of and kept a close eye on me for a while.

I got a nasty case of the shakes and my hands went really blue for a while. But I actually didn’t feel that bad - not sick as such.

Eventually it came under control and they watched me for a few more hours (7 in total!) before sending me home.

Now I have to go and get an epi-pen in case it happens again when I’m up the bush somewhere.

I’ve never been allergic to leeches before - so it’s a little odd (my sister is allergic though). It didn’t look like a tiger leech either.

The other possibility is that I actually got bitten by a snake. The marks that we assumed were from the leech could possible have been a snake’s fangs (they were two marks close together). I would have thought I’d have felt a snake strike though - and I certainly didn’t.

Regardless of what caused it - that trip to visit the G60s put me in hospital - and it’s made me far more wary of leeches...

Anyway - on to the G60s:

Save Rothgar Please!!!
Dude,
That sucks  :!:
Oh jeez, I can't resist. Very strange reaction jawapro. I climbed with a guy for a few years that had severe allergy to bee stings. He'd swell up like a marshmallow. I had to carry a 2 portion sting kit and hit him with it when he got stung or it was game over....forever. These little buggers are to be listened to.....Mother Nature has mean ways.
Glad your good now. Creepies....that's why you lads downyonder have those stellar roof top tents I'll bet.

Nice collection! I like how they all have names, even the donors. I never named my donors. :|

On the utes you have listed that the wheel base is extended. Does this mean the frame is actually extended or just the tray?

Very odd reaction to the leach. Sorry it happened. Your not the first one to go to the hospital over a G60, ask Swerve. ;) :auto-swerve: Sorry that you went through that. Now you will forever wonder about how you will react next time.

Rothgar is well and truely savable - my only problem is that I don't really have a use for THREE G60s. It was going to be Rothgar restored as a true G60, and Glados as my hybrid toy - but then I got Dacey too and now I'm not sure where Rothgar fits. If I don't restore him, I'll make sure he goes to someone who will.

Leeches have never bothered me before - so I don't know how I'll react next time. There is always a chance it was a snake that got me and not the leech - but I thought I'd have felt that.

All three of my utes have had the chassis extended to a 3m wheelbase. It was a modification made for Foresty Tasmania back in the day (not sure if they came from Nissan extended or if it was done aftermarket). Rothgar was a LWB to start with while Boris was only a MWB. I'm not sure what Natasha was originally - but she's 3m now too.

Haven't forgotten about you mate, just been needing to prioritise a few things lately and unfortunately as usual that means G60's take a back seat. I've got next week off work so ill put them up then.
