Jimmy, if you want to trade out your 4 steel wheels please call me at 210-381-4030. They are pain as and few people put up with tubes these days. But I appreciate them.
Good going on the purchase!

Re: On Patrol in Louisiana
Great progress and pictures. Is that still the original paint? Rust is the only real enemy and it was advertised as "not a rust bucket" ...did that end up being the case? It sure looks like it.

Excellent progress!
The fuel tank looks very sturdy and what a deal on the price.
Did you fix the windshield hinges or got replacements?

Re: On Patrol in Louisiana
The body was painted once from what I can tell. I don't know when. I took some boat restore polish and buffed it out. It really looks nice. I painted the windshield and inside of cab with a matched color. The color is slightly off. It has quite a few rust sport on it. I am working on the inside of the bed now. The previous owner had glued some carpet down. It was a pain to get that off. Took a heat gun and razor scraper. I will take it to spring shop soon. Replace the rubber bushings. There are none left and also re-curve the front spring. It's inverted now. Then it's on to rewiring the Patrol. Rats took a toll on the wires. I've included a few before pictures.

Re: On Patrol in Louisiana
I got a set of hinges from a guy in Colorado. Blasted them and painted. The windshield was busted and rubber was gone. The Gasket was hard to find, but I got an exact replacement online. http://www.steelerubber.com/master-numb ... 60-0728-99 A local glass dealer cut a new windshield and installed it for $100 bucks.
